At this event, organized since 1993, the participants\nare the folk groups of the Szekler villages where the tradition of the Carnival\nSend-off is still living or where it has been renewed. The folk groups are\npresenting their traditional carnival play in different areas of the host\nvillage and after that, in a few days (on Shrove Tuesday or on Ash Wednesday,\ndepending on the tradition of the region) in their own villages. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event offers a great opportunity and a\ncommon ground of research for scientists, folklorists and anthropologists as\nwell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>On Saturday, 22<sup>th <\/sup>of\nFebruary 2020<\/strong> the traditional groups are going over the\nstreets of L\u0103zarea, than everybody meets in the center of L\u0103zarea. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participant traditional groups are from: Ocna\nde Jos, B\u00e2rzava, Ciceu, Arm\u0103\u015feni, S\u00e2ncr\u0103ieni, S\u00e2nsimion, Cioboteni, Ditr\u0103u,\nRemetea, Pl\u0103ie\u015fii de Jos,Vl\u0103hi\u0163a, S\u00e2ndominic and L\u0103zarea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You are welcome to take part in the Szekler\nCarnival Send-off festival, to taste the traditional food and drinks, as well\nas to let you go with the flow of the \u201cFarsang\u201d feeling. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Program: <\/strong><br><strong>Saturday 22 February 2022 <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>11.00 Opening ceremony at the center of L\u0103zarea<br>12.00 Departure of the traditional folk groups on the defined routes in the village.<br>12.15 The performance of \u201c\u00d6rd\u00f6gbetlehem\u201d from Szentegyh\u00e1za in the Culture House. \u00a0<br>16.00 Common dance and \u201cburying the winter\u201d at the center of L\u0103zarea<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Cultural Center of Harghita County will\nassure a transfer bus from Miercurea Ciuc to L\u0103zarea on the day of the event. If you would like to join the transfer, you\nare welcome to book a seat, daily between 8\u201315 hours on the following phone\nno.: 0040-266-372.044.
