Cs\u00edkszentdomokos (S\u00e2ndominic) is the host village of the 27th Harghita County Carnival Send-off. At this event organized since 1993, the participants are the folk groups of the Sekler villages, where the tradition of the Carnival Send-off is still living or where it has been renewed.

The folk groups are presenting their traditional carnival play in different parts of the host village and after that, in a few days (on Shrove Tuesday or on Ash Wednesday, depending on the tradition of the region) in their own villages.<\/p>\n
The event is also a great opportunity for scientists, folklorists and anthropologists, representing a common ground for research as well.<\/p>\n
On Saturday, 2nd<\/sup> of March 2019 the traditional groups are going through the streets of Cs\u00edkszentdomokos, then all participants meet in the Schoolyardof \u201cM\u00e1rton \u00c1ron\u201d Primary school.<\/p>\n Participant traditional groups are from: Als\u00f3s\u00f3falva, Cs\u00edkborzsova, Cs\u00edkcsics\u00f3, Cs\u00edkmenas\u00e1g, Cs\u00edkszentkir\u00e1ly, Cs\u00edkszentsimon, Csobotfalva, Gyergy\u00f3ditr\u00f3, Gyergy\u00f3remete, Gyergy\u00f3sz\u00e1rhegy, K\u00e1szonalt\u00edz, Szentegyh\u00e1za and Cs\u00edkszentdomokos.<\/p>\n You are welcome to take part in the Sekler carnival send-off festival, to taste the traditional food and drinks, and let you go with the flow of the \u201cFarsang\u201d feeling.<\/p>\n Program:<\/p>\n Saturday, 2nd of March 2019<\/p>\n 10.00 Arrival of the traditional groups The Cultural Center of Harghita County will assure a bus from Miercurea Ciuc to Cs\u00edkszentdomokos onthe day of the event.
